Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s sons in suits at their dads' wedding
Zachary, 3, and Elijah, 23 months, matched their dads' outfits at the marriage ceremony
In a rose-filled ceremony, Sir Elton John and David Furnish have got married, with their two sons in pride of place in the front row. The couple have enjoyed a civil partnership for 9 years, and have two sons, Zach born in 2010, and Elijah, born in 2013.
Elton and his A-list guests, such as the Beckhams, David Walliams and Lulu, shared pictures of the wedding on Instagram and Twitter and they show the boys clearly enjoying the big day – especially the cutting of the cake.
In one of the cutest shots, toddler Elijah is seen hugging a white bunny, standing between the legs of his two hand-holding dads. Elton posted that the pic was taken by Elijah’s 3-year-old brother, “Zachary grabs David's iPhone and takes a photo of his brother while we exchange our vows. #ShareTheLove.”
Elton had also posted a cute pic from the night before the big day - the boys' clean and shiny shoes. "Our little ring bearers are fast asleep, and their shoes are polished and ready for tomorrow's celebration. @DavidFurnish #ShareTheLove"
The boys were dressed in dark suits, just like their dads, with white shirts, black ties and a rose in their lapels. Elton and David obviously love letting their boys’ hair grow - Little Elijah has long blond curls, while Zachary’s fair hair is also shoulder length.
Sir Elton and David have been good friends for many years with the Beckhams, and the whole family were there to celebrate. Brooklyn, 15, took a snap at the wedding with his mum – and he’s looking ever more like his dad.
Looks like a fabulous event – congrats to Sir Elton, David and their two boys.
