SPOILER ALERT - Teen pregnancy shock in EastEnders
Rebellious teenager discovers she is expecting a baby, much to her family’s disgust
There is definitely something in water on Albert Square, with the baby fever spreading quicker than you can say ‘Queen Vic’. Another lead character is about to join the EastEnd mums club – teen tearaway Lucy Beale.
The Beale family’s loudmouth is about to discover that she is pregnant, with all fingers pointing at newcomer Leon as the daddy. The 17-year-old, played by Melissa Suffield, is set to learn the news in the middle of her stepmum’s plight to adopt or foster a baby, causing shockwaves throughout the family and no doubt, plenty of shouting matches between Lucy and her control freak dad, Ian Beale.
“Lucy falls pregnant just at a time when Jane’s desperate for a child of her own. Emotions are set to run high for all the Beale family over the next few months and there will be many twists and turns ahead,” an EastEnders insider told Digital Spy.
Lucy’s pregnancy is the latest baby plot for the soap, which has included pregnancy shock for Stacey Slater, plus Heather Trott’s ‘who’s the daddy?’ saga as well as miscarriage sadness for Ronnie Mitchell.
Whether you’ll see Lucy serving fish and chips at her dad’s chippy with a side of baby bump is yet to be confirmed, but Ian Beale as a Grandpa? Now, that is definitely worth tuning in for!
