Here at MFM HQ, we've become pretty familiar with those stories that involve a kindly stranger on a plane helping out an exasperated parent.

There was the guy who stepped in to help a pregnant mum with these three words: "I'm a dad".

Then there was the grandad who used his iPad to calm a screaming a toddler on a flight. The mum was so grateful she was brought to tears.

And we have to say we LOVE this story - shared by a dad who was unexpectedly flying solo with his 8-month-old for the first time after he and his wife were split up (only the 2nd time flying for the bubba).

The dad found himself in the awks situation of his little one constantly leaning over to the lady sitting next to him.

He did it so much the neighbour eventually agreed to hold him, joking it was the "power of the boobies".

And within minutes baby had fallen asleep on the stranger's chest.

Awwwwwwww ? ?

The kind passenger agreed to hold onto the sleeping child while dad had a nap.

We love her!

The dad took to Imgur to share the story, saying:

“After multiple cancellations and layovers I selfishly agreed to give her watch over my precious child so that I could catch a quick cat nap.

“The kindness of this stranger was truly refreshing on what was quickly becoming one of the worst days in a long time.”

The dad also shared that on the earlier flight with his little one he got help, too:

"On the previous flight I had another dad offer to watch him for a sec while I made a bottle (using borrowed water from another passenger)."

Knowing how daunting the thought of a long flight or journey on other public transport can be for parents - stories like this get a big thumbs up from us.

Thanks for sharing, Dad! ?
