The light idea to help keep your toddler safe
LED lights for pushchairs and cycle helmets should help on dark nights
With the clocks about to go back and the evenings getting darker earlier, it’s tough to admit that winter has finally arrived.
One safety factor you may not have considered for the darker months ahead is how to keep you and your tot visible to other traffic and road users when you’re pushing a stroller, or cycling.
Luckily, two new products have been launched that could help banish your winter blues, and improve your child’s safety.
First up is Bug Lights, £12.99, which are two small flexible LED lights designed to clip on to the frame of most pushchairs and buggies to ensure maximum visibility.
Simply switch on and they emit an eye-catching, attention-grabbing light to alert road users to your presence - in effect, giving your pushchair small 'headlights'.
Secondly comes the Proviz helmet for kids, £22.99, a fluorescent yellow helmet which is perfect for little ones who ride bikes or scooters, or tots who travel on the back seat of cycles.
Lightweight and highly visible, this safety helmet also features a front LED light to make sure your child is as safe as possible on the roads, plus a rear LED light for extra visibility.
Both of these products are available from Proviz.
