The struggle is over! Peter and Emily Andre have named their newborn son
The couple couldn't agree on a moniker for their new arrival - here's what they ended up picking...
Update:
It's official! Peter and Emily have decided on their newborn's name: Theodore James Andre.
Theodore is a Greek name, according to Nameberry, which means 'gift of God'. Peter himself is of Greek Cypriot descent.
Peter just announced the news on Twitter, telling his 3.5 million fans the happy news and that the little boy will be nicknamed Theo.
Congrats on a lovely name, guys ?
The original story:
Dad-of-4 Peter Andre’s made it clear he has a few preferences for the name of his newborn son.
The 43-year-old singer and TV personality even detailed them long before the birth.
But as he writes in his new! magazine column, it would seem that doctor wife Emily’s not a fan of his top name picks.
"I love names like Oscar and Arthur, but Emily’s not so keen," he's said.
Ah yes. Finding a name you BOTH love can be a tough one, we know – and it tends to get tougher the more babies you have.
And, even when you both like one, sometimes it just doesn't seem to suit the newborn you're holding in your arms.
"We’re nowhere near choosing a name yet," Peter admits. "We have so many we like but, every time we go to say it, it just doesn’t stick."
We say: don’t rush it, guys! It’s way more important to pick the right name than to pick it quickly – and then maybe regret it.
(That said, we reckon Emily and Peter already know that; they did take over a month to name their 2-year-old daughter Amelia, after all.)
Since there’s no new name to share with fans, Peter's revealed a few other tidbits about the new arrival instead: the baby boy weighed in at 6lbs 10oz, and did indeed arrive early – 3 weeks ahead of his expected due date. Oh, and apparently, he looks just like his dad!
Awww ?
