The ‘UP’ movie balloon house comes to life!
Fan creates dream home and takes to the sky like character in much-loved Pixar film
'Let’s go fly a kite', or even a house, as was the case for one ‘UP’ movie enthusiast!
Cluster-balloonist Jonathan Trappe lived every kids dream at this year’s International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Mexico by making and flying the Pixar blockbuster’s balloon house!
Jonathan, from North Carolina, left spectators in awe as he took to the sky in the cartoon-themed home just like the animation’s 78-year-old character Carl Frederickson.
Kids, and adults, try to contain your squeals at the fact this house is real!
“It’s about living an interesting life – for me as the pilot and those watching, “ said Jonathan, reports the Daily Mail.
“So, one day we can look back and say: ‘Humankind were able to pull this off. They did it.’”
The movie-mad flyer was using the event as a warm-up before his planned trans-Atlantic flight scheduled for next summer.
He aims to complete a 2,500 mile journey across the pond, in a seven foot lifeboat carried by 365 huge helium balloons.
What other movie props would you and your little one like to see come to life?
