Tough guy Vin Diesel reveals touching name for his third baby
The hard man star of Fast and Furious shares his newborn girl's name - a tribute to his late co-star
Vin Diesel is best known for playing the ultimate tough guy in action films like The Chronicles of Riddick but underneath the muscly physique and the shaved-head is a softer side, which he revealed this week when he named his newborn daughter Pauline after his late The Fast and the Furious co-star Paul Walker.
Diesel and his model girlfriend Paloma Jiménez, 31 announced the birth of their third baby, a sister to Hania, 7, and Vincent, 4 on March 16 but at first the couple kept the baby's name under wraps.
Walker was killed in a car crash in 2013 aged 40 but his advice to Vin on childbirth celery stuck. "Paul [told] me to go into the delivery room and own it and be present and don't shy away from it and cut the umbilical cord," Diesel 47, told the Associated Press.
Sharing a sweet selfie with the newborn, Vin added some of the lyrics from Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World.
"I hear babies crying, I watch them grow. They'll learn much more, Than I'll ever know. And I think to myself, What a wonderful world..." the newly sentimental actor commented.
The name and gender of the newborn aren't known yet, but the couple are already parents to 6-year-old daughter, Hania Riley, and son Vincent Sinclair, 4.
