Wayne Rooney wants Kai to be a rock star
No football dreams for striker’s son
Wayne Rooney says he has high hopes his 7- month son Kai will be a rock singer rather than a footballer.
The England striker told Hello! magazine he won’t be a pushy dad and get Kai on the football pitch at an early age. “I wouldn’t push Kai to be a footballer – I’d be happy with whatever he wants to do. I’d probably rather he was into music than football to be honest.”
As he gears up for the World Cup, Wayne also admits goal scoring and penalties are no match for fatherhood, gushing that little Kai is the most important thing in his life. “Becoming a dad was the proudest moment of my life. Playing football does not even compare.”
Glad to see you’ve got your priorities right Wayne, unlike a few dads-to-be who reckon they’d miss the birth of their first child to see him and the England team play in the final of the World Cup as we revealed on our sister site, Thinkbaby.
