Why these parents threw their daughter a poop-themed 3rd birthday party
Mum Rebecca Marose decided to ‘embrace the weird’ and went along with 3-year-old Audrey’s quirky request
When you ask your little one to choose a theme for their birthday party, you might expect something Disney-related to follow as their reply.
But when a little girl named Audrey from the US begged her parents for a poop-themed 3rd birthday party, they decided to go all out.
“For months, every time we mentioned her party, Audrey requested ‘poop balloons and a poop cake',” mum Rebecca Marose told The Huffington Post.
“I tried suggesting other themes, but she always insisted on poop.”
Audrey turned 3 last October, and celebrated in style with the poop party of her dreams, which included poop emoji piñatas, whoopee cushions and a ’pin the poop in the toilet’ game.
She even wore a dress emblazoned with a flower crown-wearing poop emoji...
And even though mum was initially worried about what the guests might say, in the end, everyone really enjoyed it.
“I expected the grandparents to question it, but they all just laughed when I told them,” Rebecca added.
The party-planning mum's shared her story in hopes that others will feel less pressure to throw a Pinterest-perfect party and go along with what their little one wants.
"I feel like in this time of Facebook and Pinterest, we sometimes get caught up in trying to impress other adults,” she admitted.
“This party wasn’t for me, it was for Audrey. I love that we will look back at pictures, and it will represent her at 3 - my funny and quirky little girl.”
Judging by the photos, it seemed that smiley Audrey had a 3rd birthday party to remember... and looks like mum had a blast too, even rocking a poop emoji costume ?
We love it ???
What do you think?
