Zoe Saldana confirms pregnancy with ice-bucket challenge
The Guardians of the Galaxy star shows off her baby bump in viral ALS charity video
US actress Zoe Saldana has finally publicly acknowledged her pregnancy – but it took the threat of an ice-cold soaking to make her do it.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star has so far kept mum about her pregnancy.
But after being nominated by her Guardians director James Gunn to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Zoe took to YouTube to address her growing bump.
"I obviously can't do it myself," the 36-year-old said, rubbing her baby bump and sticking it out to the side.
"So, I nominate my husband to take on the challenge, and get rinsed by a nice bucket of ice water," she says as the camera pans to show her husband Marco Perego, 35, bracing himself for a shivery shower.
After the dad-to-be is covered in freezing cold water, the pregnant actress then nominates her Avatar director James Cameron, Salma Hayek, Ron Burkle, Aileen Getty and Francois Pinault to take the challenge next.
