Week 2 pregnancy symptoms
Your pregnancy is just beginning, so what can you expect in your second week?
Your pregnant body
When you start trying for a baby, it’s tempting to imagine that you feel different, that you sense something’s going on in there. Some mums-to-be notice that their breasts become more tender after conception but many are blissfully unaware of the story emerging inside them.
Although there’s only a maximum two-day window in any cycle during which time you are fertile, cycles can change, so even if you suspect that you have experienced that special conception moment, continue to have regular sex with your partner through the month, to maximise your chances.
Many women don’t know when they ovulate, although you may notice a rising temperature and a thicker white discharge. To maximise chances of conception, it is best to have regular sex during the middle weeks of your menstrual cycle.
Now find out what you should be doing this week…
What should you be doing this week?
At this stage, it’s all about looking after yourself and being as relaxed as possible. If you smoke, now is the time to stop, and if you need help then ask your partner to support you. It would also be a good idea to cut back on drinking alcohol.
