If the Flexi Bath sounds like a thoughtfully design, that would be because it is – three years, two engineers and £1million went into this product! This isn’t reflected in the cost though - it retails at £29.95, which means it’s not the cheapest baby bath around, but it’s certainly decent value. And yes, the people behind it are parents themselves, if you hadn’t already guessed.
What we love
Tester mum Sally thought the Flexi Bath was very clever. The fact it folds shut is genius! The bath is sturdy enough to stand when folded so you don't have to lean it on anything. This means it’s brilliant for storing, especially in a small bathroom, or for taking away. It’s also light.
The Flexi Bath opens into a roomy space but fits in a standard bath. Once filled it stands well.
Sally found the plastic was a really nice soft texture so when her 9-week-old baby Milo kicked against it, it would give slightly.
It also looks stylish, with the bold colour choices and ‘splash’ drain plug feature.
What to watch out for
Once the 39litre Flexi Bath is full, it’s very heavy. This meant Sally had to use it in the bathtub rather than being able to lift it out onto the bathroom floor like she usually does.
The plastic clip that holds the bath folded shut doesn’t seem that durable, so it may not hold out for the life of the bath. Also, a small niggle, but the drain plug takes a bit of pushing in.
While the Flexi Bath is meant to be suitable up to 4 years old, our mum tester thought it was a bit small to make it to that age.
Who is the A Real Cool World Flexi Bath best for?
Families in need of space-savvy baby kit that can travel.
The Flexi Bath is a stylish, clever product that solves the problem of storing bulky baby baths when not in use. It’s affordable, has a built-in plug for easy draining, and can even double as a travel solution. While the bath can hold two children, and is said to work up to the age of 4 years, you might find your child does get too big before then.
