If you're potty training, check out the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair. Available in a variety of funky colours, it’s ergonomic and sturdy.

Made by the creators of the well-loved baby carriers, the Potty Chair is Baby Bjorn’s next best-selling products in the UK. More expensive than most potties, it was given a face-lift in 2005. Larger than the average potty, the Potty Chair has a high back to enable your toddler to sit back comfortably. There are also arm rests and a wide, ergonomic shape providing plenty of leg room. There’s a removable inner potty and a high splash-guard preventing spills.

The Safe Step has rubber top, making little feet secure, yet is strong enough to take the weight of an adult. The unique rubber edge around the bottom of the Potty Chair and Safe Step prevents them both from slipping. The Potty Chair is free from PVC and recyclable.

What we love

Lucy was much more comfortable on this than smaller potties, especially in the early days of potty training when there’s lots of sitting and waiting! It's very stylish and looks extremely smart. The non-slip feature is fantastic – I have left the Potty Chair in Lucy’s room overnight, confident that she won’t knock it over. The removable inner potty is easy to empty and clean as well. After using it for a year, it still looks in perfect condition for when Peter potty trains and the splashguard will be particularly useful for a little boy.

What to watch out for

Larger than other similar products in order to accommodate the design. My only negative comments would be that it very tempting for your toddler to lift out and clean the inner potty himself - this could be a good or bad thing depending on your approach! It's also quite expensive compared to others on the market.

Who is the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair best for?

Mums willing invest in potty training equipment.

MadeForMums verdict

The Potty Chair is stylish and ergonomic, coming in a variety of beautiful colours. Although larger than most other potties, the Potty Chair is robust enough to accommodate larger children without the fear that it will tip over.
