The bumper bar is also very easy to take on and off and the adjustable footrest is a nice feature, something not all lightweight pushchairs have. It can be down when your child is awake and just clicks up to create support for tired little legs. It is made of wipe-clean material, which has been handy for me when mucky wellies were involved.
The hood is included and gives good coverage.
What we love
The first thing that strikes you about the Be Cool Street is how good looking it is! I tested the buggy in the “Lipstick” colour and absolutely loved the bright red set against the black. The black chassis and wheels meant that any significant dirt remained hidden. It has very strong styling, with bold graphics on both the fabric and the metal work. The strong design may not be for all tastes, but it certainly was a talking point on the schoolrun!
The second thing you notice is the size of the seat. It is huge. My 2-year-old Minnie is not big but in my usual pushchair she pretty much fills the seat. Not so in the Street. She only took up half the width and her feet barely reached the footplate. We easily fitted her and Big Ted in side by side on our walks. The large seat means the Street could be suitable until your child no longer needs a pushchair (the Street is suitable to 15kg). The cover is easy to remove and washable, which again extends the longevity of the Street.
The Street so easy to use, I didn’t even have to look at the instruction manual to operate it. The umbrella-fold mechanism is simple to do, it folds down relatively small and I could easily lift it one handed. The one handed recline mechanism was also very easy to use and didn’t disturb Minnie when she fell asleep.
Another nice bonus is that you get a raincover included in the price. It even comes in a stylish cloth bag with a ring you can attach to the buggy – a great addition that should help you avoid getting caught without it next time it rains!
What to watch for
The shopping basket is on the small size and is more or less unreachable once the buggy is fully reclined
The handles aren’t height adjustable. They were fine for me (5ft) and I found it quite comfortable to push. My husband (5’11”) also said it was ok. I would imagine if you were particularly tall, you may find yourself having to bend a little to push.

If you need a modern looking, lightweight buggy the Be Cool Street could be an ideal contender. The comfort factor is exceptional, and the seat will easily accommodate a toddler and is padded enough for a baby to feel secure. The non-adjustable handles are a small negative on an otherwise great buggy.
