What's the pool like? There are 2 pools to choose from - the year-round indoor pool is heated to 29 degrees. The outdoor pool is also heated to 26 degrees and its' location in the lush hotel grounds offers great views over the bay of St. Ives.
What else should I know? Treganna Castle Resort is extremely family friendly; little ones can enjoy an under-8's outdoor playground, tennis, squash and badminton courts and a host of holiday time activities including crafts and nightly entertainment.

"I just love the location. The views from the hotel are beautiful. We stayed in a self catering unit so had the benefit of being able to get some groceries in (keep costs down) or eat in the hotel restaurant. Where is it? China Fleet Country Club is located on the border of Cornwall and Devon, set over 180 acres of lush countryside. Expect to see some really stunning local surroundings. The accommodation is attached to a health club so there's a range of great activities onsite to suit all ages.
What's the pool like? The heated indoor pool at China Fleet Country Club is not to be sniffed at! It has beach style entry - perfect for little ones getting used to depth. There's also a flume, water cannons, spray cannons, bubble features and play mats. Basically enough to keep water babies amused for a long time and tire them out (hurrah!).
What's the accommodation like? The self catering style apartments are decorated in warm, neutral tones. There's a kitchen/dining area and for larger parties there's a couple of cottages providing additional space during your stay. Use of all health club facilities are included during your stay.
One TripAdvisor reviewer says; "The kids shared the sofa bed which was a huge so they didn’t keep kicking each other in the night! The facilities were top notch for the price we paid. Use of spa, swimming pool with water slide for the kids - and the changing rooms were super clean compared to other places we have stayed. Loads to do on site and we also used the kids club so we could go in the spa which was reasonably priced. They have a small soft play next to the Bar so you can enjoy a meal while your kids run off and play."

7. Poltarrow Farm
Where is it? 6 self-catering cottages make up the accomodation at Poltarrow Farm. The farm is located near the town of St Austell, slightly inland in South Cornwall.
What's the pool like? The pool at Poltarrow farm is kept at a cosy 30 degrees and open daily from 7am - 9pm except Saturday morning for cleaning. It has a depth of 1.4m so smaller children would benefit from some buoyancy aids. There's also an outside play area if swimming doesn't tire them out enough!
What's the accommodation like? Each cottage has it's own unique style, yet all are warm and welcoming. On colder nights enjoy limitless logs for the fireplace. Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding lakes and fields. The washing machine and dryer will come in handy after a muddy day on the farm.
On TripAdvisor Fiona H shares; "The facilities were super, we swam at least once every day in the pool and my son particularly enjoyed dressing up in the under 5s room which was full of toys ideal for both children. Where is it? Situated just outside of Newquay town centre, the Sands Resort Hotel is a family friendly, sea-view accommodation close to the action.
What's the pool like? You're truly spoilt for choice with swimming pools at Sands Resort Hotel, there's 2 great ones! The indoor pool is heated and the outdoor pool has a toddler splash area. To say this hotel is family friendly is an understatement... *deep breath* there's a kids club, outdoor pirate ship, bouncy castle, maze, outdoor AND indoor playgrounds and a zip wire! To name but a few...
What's the accommodation like? Accommodation is spacious and varied. We love the interconnecting room options - great for connecting extended families. Rooms have a refreshing sea or garden view and separate space for the kids.

Where is it? The Valley is located in south west Cornwall just 10 minutes drive from the city of Truro; home to a magnificent Cathedral and the Royal Cornwall Museum. The Valley is well positioned to give visitors a choice of venturing north or south to find their perfect beach.
What's the pool like? The outdoor pool is heated mid-June to mid-September so you can enjoy some rays without feeling a chill. The indoor pool is great for when the weather is less welcoming. If you're a true aqua addict, many of the cottage accommodations also have their own hot tub. Perfect for some much needed relaxation once the kids are sleeping.
What's the accommodation like? The self-catering accommodation is very welcoming at The Valley. You'll certainly quickly feel at home and ready to wash away the stresses of every day life. The added bonus is the breathtaking views that you'll wake up to daily.

10. Broomhill Manor
Where is it? Located near the town of Bude in north Cornwall, Broomhill Manor comprises of family friendly self catering cottages. Onsite there is horse riding, tennis, play areas and couple or rather wonderful pools. Enjoy the well looked after garden and forestry on the 18 acres of land.
What's the pool like? The indoor pool is heated to a tropical 30 degrees and has a jacuzzi attached to it. Open until 10pm the evenings are child free - giving parents some relaxation time while the children sleep. Genius!
The outdoor pool is open May to September and also heated - although it's helpfully located in a "sun trap" so the suns rays will also warm (and bronze).
What's the accommodation like? All of the cottages are family-friendly and the hosts will happily provide baby/toddler equipment on request such as blackout blinds, stair gates and bed bars. Each cottage has it's own individual style but aim to make self catering easy with thoughtful additions like dishwashers and outdoor barbecues. There's a selection of local supermarkets if you need to top up.

11. The Park
Where is it? Just 300 yards from Mawgan Porth beach, in 27 acres of lush gardens, The Park is a north Cornwall gem. Cabins, cottages, lodges and yurts (for you glamping fans) are distributed across the grounds amongst numerous child friendly play areas and adult friendly relaxation areas!
What's the pool like? There are two pools to choose from; the indoor pool is year round and the heated outdoor pool is May to September. The outdoor pool bar is on hand to make sure that you have a cool drink while enjoy the view and watching the kids play.
What's the accommodation like? With such a diverse range of accommodation to chose from, all tastes and styles are catered for. The yurts are a fun spin on glamping; it's all about community as you share cooking and relaxation facilities. On the other end of the scales is luxurious Lanerick house; three beds, three baths and a private roof terrace.
Lollipops25 shares her experience; "There were nice bean bags everywhere and sun loungers for everyone to use and an outdoor bar which kept everyone well watered! Staff were great!
Dotted around the park are play areas including trampolines, swings and slides and the whole place is a 5 min walk to the most amazing beach."

Where is it? Bude in north Cornwall is home to the 4th generation family run Court Farm. There's a pub right across the street and onsite there's a games room, spa, tennis court and children's play area.
What's the pool like? The pool at Court Farm is heated to 30 degrees all year round. On warm days the glass walls can be opened letting in some fresh country air. Court Farm provides a selection of pool toys for younger visitors.
What's the accommodation like? Each cottage at Court Farm is unique and full or character. A few have hot tubs and all are equipped with home from home essential such as high chairs, booster seats and fireguards. Many cottages also have garden areas, perfect for alfresco dining. It's worth noting that the decor in some of the cottages is quite rustic and may not suit everyone's taste.
ClareandDuncan shared their viewpoint; "We chose Wheelwright Cottage and have to say that there is a fine line between rustic and tired, and sadly we felt some of the fixtures and fittings were well past their replacement date in this cottage."

13. The Esplanade
Where is it? Spectacular views are guaranteed from this coastal hotel in Newquay which overlooks Fistral Beach. The coastal locations ensures adventure is at your doorstep and the freshest of sea breezes. Adults will appreciate the hotel spa and the children will love the sizeable pirate ship, soft play area and range of free activities including pizza making.
What's the pool like? There's a toddler friendly splash area on the heated indoor family pool. Perfect for little ones best suited to more shallow water. The pool is open daily from 8am to 10:30pm with no restrictions on when children can swim.
What's the accommodation like? Family sea view rooms will not disappoint - the family will rest and recuperate in comfortable surroundings - waking up to some of the best views England has to offer. If you chose to drive, it's worth noting that parking is limited and may incur an additional cost.
Reviewer Rebecca H on TripAdvisor says; " Car parking onsite is few & far between and I don't agree with a £15 per day charge to reserve a space, on top of an expensive room rate. There is free parking on the road outside the hotel, but it gets very busy."

Where is it? Penwith Penisular is home to Hotel Penzance; home to some of the mildest weather in the UK. Not only is the weather great but this far south west corner of England is home to some of the most beautiful beaches too. Hotel Penzance is in an Edwardian building seaped in rich naval history.
What's the pool like? Please let's talk about the pool! A suntrap location overlooking Mount's Bay, offering great views and sun loungers to take it all in (or finish a good book). The pool is heated and the water is inviting.

Each of the 25 rooms is individual and full of character. Cots can be provided for younger guests. It's worth noting that there is no lift and a hill to get to the hotel.

It has various sections including therapeutic jets which will relieve any pre-holiday tensions. For the brave, you can experience and ice bucket shower; perfect post-workout and pre-swim. Important to factor in self-care even on a family holiday!
What's the accommodation like? As you'd expect accommodation is luxurious at The St. Michael's Resort; with a choice of family rooms, suites and even a "house room" depending on your budget. Sea views are also a very tempting additional option.
Reviewer Mel shares; "The spa facilities are superb and it really is the most relaxing experience that transformed us from frazzled, overworked parents into humans again.We have stayed at least 5 times now, first as a young couple before children, now as family of 4 and all stages between. What else should I know? The whole family is catered for; happy, worn out(!) kids are the order of the day. Choices include soft play, a balance bike track and a play barn (perfect for rainy weather) all onsite and available to guests. Come evening time adults deserve to relax in the hot tub garden!

What else should I know? Every night from 6:30pm during school holiday there's fun entertainment for the children. During the day, a choice of activities including a play park, trampolines and pirate trail will certainly keep little ones busy.
What's the accommodation like? Accommodation is self catering and varied to suit a range of family needs, the hot tub options offer relaxation on your own private patio. Some property are very large so good for bigger or extended families. Rooms are comfortable and welcoming - expect all the necessary home comforts - however some may feel that the decor is a little dated.

The interior though was dated, furniture needs updating, along with the bedding, who has peach coloured bedding??? "We are already planning our return! Treworgey is one of those hidden places that you just go back to again and again. We stayed in Jasmine cottage and it was immaculate. Our three year old loved the heated pool and pony rides. Our dog loved the fact that treworgey had left treats for him. The beaches are fab. Family rooms are spacious and comfortable. Expect bright pops of colour in the interior decorations.
Reviewer sean says; "We were given a family room at the end of the hotel which was good to be away from everyone, given two kids in a hotel room is never the quietest. Kids had their own separate room and we had a sea view. Rooms were very spacious."
