The Baby Bjorn Active Carrier is very easy to put on. It comes in two pieces and is quick to adjust the straps to fit mum or dad. You just click your baby in each side. This is also handy if you’re breastfeeding as you can just unclip one side. The wider shoulder straps provide an even weight distribution, and there’s comfortable support in the small of your back essential so you don’t get backache.
What we love
I can’t recommend this product enough! It’s wonderful to have your baby close to you. My second baby Isabella would instantly calm down as soon as I clipped her into the carrier, enabling me to get on with the chores at home and great for when you go out shopping. I also found the carrier very useful for going on public transport, instead of struggling with a big pushchair.
I love that it has good head support for my newborn Isabella. I also used it with my older daughter, Amelia, who loved being able to face outwards and see what was going on. Now Amelia’s older, I’ve found the carrier is great for putting Isabella in and at the same time having my hands free to hold onto my busy toddler!
A big plus point is that my husband loves wearing the carrier. The design is not girly, but instead looks stylish and trendy. We’ve got it in black and red, though it comes it lots of cool colours. He feels a proud dad with it on and it gives him a chance to bond with our baby.
What to watch out for
When your baby is ready to be in the face forward position, you have to watch out as the front flap can flip up and cover her face.
The Active Carrier is more comfortable and great for heavier babies, but because I’m small I wouldn’t be able to carry a 6 month old on a very long walk, but that’s when your partner can take over! But I do think it’s a must-have item for the first 6 months.

The Baby Bjorn Active Carrier is definitely worth paying extra for. It’s such a wonderful design and provides that much needed comfort so you can use it for longer periods of time. The click-fit is easy to use and great for transferring a sleeping baby to her cot.
