What we love
The Clippasafe Home Safety Starter Pack includes 12 plug socket covers, which is great as often with these things you need to go out and buy more plug covers. These are also very effective because they're very hard to pull out. Also, unlike some other makes, there is no fiddly extra tool you need to use to remove them, which you inevitably lose! Instead there’s a hole that you insert the earth pin of the plug you’re about to use into to pull it out.
The door stop is good, and there’s a good range of things, including fridge/freezer lock and toilet seat lock, so each room of your house is covered.
The fridge/freezer lock if effective, but only just fits on ours – if you have a very curved edge on the fridge it might not fit.
What to watch out for
The drawer locks are the same as most drawer locks we're tried and they're not as robust as they need to be. Often you pull open a drawer in a hurry and we've managed to break a couple of these by pulling the drawer out too hard. Having said that they did keep little hands out of drawers, so if you're careful they're probably fine. They're also quite fiddly to attach.
We weren't huge fans of the corner cushions. The problem is you can either attach them with the sticky pads provided so as not to ruin your furniture, but then they're very easy for little ones to remove, which is exactly what our son did within about three days and then the stickiness is gone. Alternatively you have to attach them with screws, but this is very permanent and means you've damaged your furniture forever.
The multipurpose latch would be good for something you don't need to open very often, as it's not very easy to open and close – actually it's really hard!
The toilet seat lock is difficult to undo – we decided not to bother with this at all as we're trying to potty train and need him to open the loo seat by himself.

The Clippasafe Home Safety Starter Pack is a great value set containing everything you could need. However, as with other some other kits I’ve tried, I'd give the corner cushions a miss, as they just don't stay on – unless you want to permanently screw them into your beautiful furniture.
