The Cosatto Budi is also travel system compatible. Buy purchasing the matching Budi car seat or Maxi-Cosi CabriFix car seat, the Budi really can live up to its “3 in 1” name.
If there’s something a little familiar about this buggy, that’s because it’s a tweaked and updated version of the old Cosatto Mobi package.
What we love
The Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi travel system is a great package and looks stylish. Available in Cherry or Ember and Orange, the Budi has enough chic sophistication to compete with the Bugaboo.
A lot of 3-wheeler buggies around at the moment can be about the look, not the practicality, of having three wheels. However, the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi means business. The tyres are big and chunky, and you need to blow them up with the pump provided. This 3-wheeler scoots around corners, bounces over bumps and can hold up against the wobble if you’re a mum who likes to jog. It’s ideal for mums wishing to run, walk or join a Buggy fitness class to shape up post-baby.
The harness is well supported and slots together easily, which leaves you feeling confident that your baby’s safe and secure.
There’s a handy bag underneath that contains the raincover and pump, so everything you need is to hand. And there’s extra room for snacks or other bits and bobs, too.
What to watch out for
Rosie, my daughter, has been travelling in the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi buggy in the rear (parent) facing position we can chat away. While it’s brilliant to have the choice of seat directions, if you want to collapse the Budi, the pushchair seat needs to be in the forward facing position for it to fold down.
The pram and pushchair bodies are two completely separate pieces of kit, so you’ll need somewhere to store the parts when not in use. Not ideal for families short on space.
I’d like the hood to be a bit more robust and the inner a little snugger but apart from that, the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi is great. The cosytoes are exceptionally cosy, but slip down easily. However, once your baby’s in, this isn’t that much of a problem.
Who is the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi best for?
Mums after a stylish 3-wheeler that can handle some fitness action.
The Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi is stylish, well priced and wonderful to drive. It can tackle the bumps, has a reversible seat unit and comes with useful accessories. While it can’t be folded with the seat in rear facing mode, there’s plenty of features to love, and it can be used as a travel system, too.
