The 3-wheeler Budi 3 in 1 Combi buggy itself can be used in many ways. For a newborn, there’s the pram mode. For an older baby or toddler, the pushchair can be positioned either forward or rear facing.
The Budi car seat, which is purchased separately, can also be attached to create the travel system, providing easy manoeuvring when you’re out on the road. The car seat is a Group 0+, so is suitable from birth to 13kg. It has side impact protection, removable canopy and comes with handy additions such as a head hugger and tummy and chest pads.
Weight wise, the chassis is 7.6kg, pram body is 4.4kg, pushchair seat is 2.5kg, and the car seat is 4.4kg.
What we love
The Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi travel system is a great package and there’s no denying it looks the part. Available in two colour options, the cherry is great for those who want to be noticed and the ember and orange oozes enough style and sophistication to give the Bugaboo a run for its money.
A lot of 3-wheeler buggies are a bit pointless. They can be more about the look of the pram but these three wheels mean business. Big and chunky enough to have to blow them up with the pump provided, they scoot around corners, bounce over bumps and withstand wobble if you fancy going for a jog. It’s perfect for any mum wanting to whittle down that mummy tummy by taking up running or joining a Buggyfit class.
The harness is well supported and slots together easily, leaving you feeling confident your baby is safe and secure.
There’s a handy bag underneath the Budi 3 in 1 Combi buggy that contains the raincover and pump, so you’ll always have everything you need at hand without it clogging up valuable space in your changing bag. And there’s extra room for snacks and treats too!
The Cosatto Budi car seat matches perfectly, looks great on the chassis and is easy to transfer into or out of the car.
What to watch out for
My daughter Rosie has been riding in the Budi 3 in 1 Combi pushchair facing me so we can chatter away when we’re pounding the pavements. It’s brilliant to have the rear or forward facing seat options. Unfortunately, if you want to collapse the buggy, the pushchair seat needs to be in the forward facing position to then fold it down.
The pram and pushchair are two totally separate pieces of kit as well, so you’ll need somewhere to store the bits and bobs when you don’t need them, which can be a bit of a pain.
I would prefer the hood to be a bit sturdier and the inner a little snugger but apart from that, the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi travel system really is great. The cosytoes are exceptionally cosy, but slip down easily. However, once your baby’s in, this isn’t too much of a problem.
Who is the Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi travel system best for?
New parents after a good-looking 3-wheeler that can handle some action.
The Cosatto Budi 3 in 1 Combi travel system is a winner. It’s super stylish, perfect from birth to toddlerhood, well priced and great to drive. It can handle the bumps, has a reversible seat unit and comes with handy accessories. While it can’t be folded with the seat in rear facing mode, there’s plenty of features to love.
