What we loved
First impressions were that the pushchair I had been sent was certainly very bright! I was given the Pablo fabric and to say that it was colourful is an understatement! At first when I saw the box I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, but once I got it out, I can honestly say I fell in love with it. It is like no pushchair I have seen before and the material was so funky and fresh. I loved the fact it was so different to normal pushchairs. Combining the fabric with the sleek black and white metal frame, it just looked really great. The lining of the carrycot was different too and together they really complimented each other.
The second thing that struck me was how well made the pushchair was. The material was of an excellent quality, as was the frame and products. It felt really safe and sturdy, yet at the same time was incredibly lightweight which was useful for me as I am not particularly strong!
We set about putting it up for the first time and we were surprised how easily it went up in a couple of seconds. When folded it is also incredibly compact so would suit someone with limited space or a small boot. It is really simple to switch between the different modes- whether you want the car seat or the carry cot, which can be used from birth, or the seat, which can be used from six months.
I liked all three modes and tested them out on both my girls, one who is six weeks and one who is 26 months- they were snug and secure in both the carrycot and the pushchair- the added extra of the Cosy Toes footmuff was a real bonus for my older little girl.
The Giggle has the usual basket underneath, but this is of quite a large size- perfect for all those shopping trips! It also has an adjustable handle bar, which is important as my husband is a lot taller than me. It is easy to push, steer and handle, and my husband thought the same.
However the main bonus for me was that all three of the modes had the option of being either forward or rear facing- I think this is so important for when you have a young child as it helps you bond with them, whereas my toddler doesn’t want to have to chat to Mummy when there is a whole world to look at! This was a huge selling point for me. The pushchair part is also quite high, meaning she can really look around and see what is going on!
Finally another little bonus of the Giggle is that it is designed in the UK and also has a four year guarantee- definite peace of mind in case something was to go wrong.
What to watch out for
I really can’t fault the travel system in any way. The fabric may not be to everyone’s taste, but there are also another four fabric choices to choose from so there is bound to be something to please everyone. If I had to say a negative point, the only thing I found was when clicking the seat on and off you do have to be a little careful not to catch your fingers- however I found after doing this a few times I soon got the hang of what I was doing. This is such a minor point however.
Who is the Cosatto Giggle best for?
Parents who aren't afraid to make a statement with their pushchair of choice!
Overall the Giggle is a fantastic pushchair. The geometric print of the Pablo is completely unique and I have had some real admiring glances when we have been out- in fact I have been stopped in the street twice and asked what make it was! And not only does it look good, but it is also a dream to push. It feels really well made and I think it is remarkably good value considering all the little extras you get included. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
