The Slidi folds away beautifully and is ideal for storage. And, as with all Cosatto highchairs, it comes with a 4-year guarantee. Not that you should need it as it looks like a chair that will last.
What we love
The Slidi looks great. Whether it’s at our dining table or in the kitchen, it’s always the centre of attention when other mums visit! And even though it looks traditional, it has most of the modern features you’d expect from today’s highchair. The height is very easy to adjust, with one hand if I need to, and when I’ve removed the tray it fits perfectly at our dining table making my daughter, Tippi, feel included at mealtimes.
It doesn’t have a padded cushion cover, which means no slouching for Tippi and no avoiding being fed - well, until she decides she really has had enough and the food-throwing begins! That’s fine though because the Slidi has a minimal structure, which means there’s nowhere for food to get trapped.
What I like most is how small it folds. For a sturdy, robust chair it’s surprising just how compact it is once you decide to store it. It really is a house-proud mum’s dream.
What to watch out for
Although there’s a harness, it doesn’t feel quite as secure as some other highchairs. But while it may not be suitable for very young babies, it’s great for slightly older ones, especially when you want to keep them engaged and feed them at the family dining table.
It may not be the most comfortable chair for babies, and it doesn’t have a recline function, but that can work in its favour as it helps keep your baby focused on feeding.
There’s no base tray, which can be very handy for storing those all-important bibs and muslins.
Who is the Cosatto Slidi best for?
Busy house-proud mums who aim for style and practicality.
A natural-looking, stylish wooden high chair that looks like its made to last and folds away beautifully. With a one-handed height adjustment for mums with their hands full and a removable tray for family mealtimes, it doesn’t just look good, it’s practical too. As with any highchair though, don’t leave your baby unattended as the harness doesn’t feel quite as secure as some others.
