The East Coast Nursery Alpha Egg Bath is a perfect size, has useful accessories and looks good, too.
Part of East Coast Nursery’s co-ordinating Alpha Egg bath-time and toilet training product range, this bath is available in subtle pastels hues of blue or lilac, as well as white. Its moulded shape gives a sleek look, too.
The Alpha Egg Bath features a hook so you can hang the bath up and out of the way. It has a gently rounded shape for comfort, and a recessed rubber plug to make emptying simple. It comes with a removable sponge tray and easy-pour rinse cup, which can be hooked on the edge of the bath to keep them in easy reach when bathing your baby.
The bath is suitable from birth to 12 months.
What we love
Tester mum Sally and baby Milo, 9 weeks, said the Alpha Egg Bath was a real favourite. It’s a great depth and size for a young baby to lie back and kick in, and it fits in your standard bathtub.
The cute colour and shape were winning features. The soap/sponge tray and rinse cup were welcome and practical additions, too.
What to watch out for
The bath has a non-slip ridge, but this isn’t rubberised – it’s just a plastic edge. However, this wasn’t a problem as it seemed stable enough.
Baby Milo did keep catching his foot on the soap/sponge tray when he was kicking away, but this can be removed if you’ve got a little mermaid or merman on your hands!
The hook means you can hang the bath out of the way, though you’ll still need wall/door/cupboard space to do this, so it’s not for those with truly limited room.
Who is the East Coast Nursery Alpha Egg Bath best for?
Mums after a simple, classy bath for a baby under 1.
The Alpha Egg Bath, from East Coast Nursery, has a classy look and does the job very well. The accessories are handy, the size ideal for young babies, and the price tag is very reasonable, too.
