What we love
I bought this chair just after my daughter was born, as I wanted somewhere safe I could put her whilst I showered. Isla just loved being in this bouncer and I felt really happy leaving her in it while I pottered around. It feels very stable and comfortable and is softly padded with that all-important removable, washable cover.
As a newborn, the simple bouncing action was sufficient to amuse Isla but then as she developed, she discovered the different functions of the chair. It stimulated her senses: touch, with the responsive kick-pads and different textured toys on the activity bar; sight, with the lights on the activity bar; and sound, with the 10 songs and six different sound effects triggered by the kick-pads.
A lot of mums have commented that they find this bouncer is the only thing that soothes their baby when all else fails…high praise indeed!
What to watch out for
If your baby adores the vibration mode, you can rattle through batteries pretty swiftly, but apart from that, the only other issue is that you need to take it apart to store it flat (the frame is formed of five pieces, plus the seat and activity bar).
I found that as a newborn, Isla pretty quickly got over-stimulated by the activity bar found on bouncers in general. So perhaps it’s best to just the Fisher-Price Kick & Play Bouncer in simple chair mode when your baby is very young.

A fantastic bouncer, which is great value and also has lots of interesting functions for your baby. This bouncer can both soothe and amuse, and it frees you up to do jobs around the house. However, it does need to be dismantled in order to store it.
