What we love
If you don’t want your highchair on show all the time or simply lack the space, this is ideal, as it folds down to a neat, compact size - and the tray rests tidily on top. Hard to believe of a seat that has quite a big footprint when open! When opened, a green light clicks on to reassure you that it’s locked in position and safe to use.
The combination of simple white plastic and brushed steel give a sophisticated modern look.
In use Mhome Zuma highchair offers great versatility: an enviable eight height positions mean you can position your baby as you wish (and adjust with your baby in situ), while three recline options make it perfect for little ones who are ready to eat real food but aren’t quite so stable when sitting upright (also useful if your baby falls asleep before finishing her tea!). Even the footrest can be adjusted.
The super-comfy ‘reducing pad’ creates a safe and comfy environment for your baby, and is removable for washing, or for when your baby gets bigger.
The tray can be removed completely if you want your baby to join you at the table, or simply pull it out a little so it’s easy to get your baby in and out of the seat – very useful if your little one tends to wriggle. There’s also a tray insert that you can clean in the dishwasher. Wheels at the front make it easy to manoeuvre, whether folded or open.
What to watch out for
While seat is single-moulded, meaning there are no corners or joins for crumbs and worse to get caught up in, the Velcro pads that hold the padding in place could get clogged up if you’re unlucky enough to have a messy eater (aren’t they all?!). Once your baby has outgrown the reducing pad, the padding that remains seems rather meagre.
The tray insert is a great idea but a tenacious toddler could lift – and wreak havoc!
All the Mhome Zuma highchair’s functionality comes at a price, so it’s more expensive than the average, but not eye-wateringly so.
Who is the Inglesina Mhome Zuma highchair best for?
Parents short on space who like a clean, modern look.
The Inglesina Mhome Zuma is a good-looking, versatile highchair that comes in a great range of colours and offers fantastic adjustability and space efficiency when folded. It’s easy to use and built to last but it’s not cheap, and the lack of padding may prove unappealing to your toddler.
