One of the heavier creams on the market, this is nourishing, but has a distinctive scent
Kamillosan Stretch Mark & C-Section Soufflé Cream keeps pregnancy and post-pregnancy skin supple and contains ingredients that can may reduce scars.
Kamillosan is an established brand in the pregnancy market, having provided products for mums and babies for 75 years. Its Stretch Mark & C-Section Soufflé Cream contains a mixture of natural chamomile, cocoa butter, vitamin E, plant-derived collagen, seaweed elastin and milk peptides, to moisturise skin, help maintain elasticity and leave it feeling firmer.
It’s suggest you use it twice a day during and after pregnancy to prevent and minimise stretchmarks. And if you have a caesarean, the ingredients could help your scar heal well, too.
What we love
I was impressed by the ingredients this cream contains, as many of them I know to be good for keeping skin supple and reducing scars.
The vitamin E, collagen and elastin in particular made me feel like I was using less of a beauty treat and more of a serious product that will get results.
Although rich, it has a light, fluffy feel (hence the ‘Soufflé’ in the name) and was easy and pleasant to apply – a little went a long way. My skin feels generally softer for using it.
What to watch out for
Despite claims to the contrary on the (rather dull) packaging, this cream feels quite oily on skin. In fact I’ve used oils that have been better absorbed. I still felt a bit greasy by the end of the day, and noticed that the chamomile fragrance lingered on all the clothes I wore. So it’s not my cream of choice for all-over use during pregnancy, but I’d definitely use it post-pregnancy on problems areas or a caesarean scar, if I end up with one. In smaller quantities, the scent wouldn’t be so overpowering.
Who is Kamillosan Stretch Mark & C-Section Soufflé Cream best for?
Mums-to-be after a rich nourishing cream, who like the smell of chamomile.
Kamillosan Stretch Mark & C-Section Soufflé Cream is a decent-value cream for keeping stretching skin well moisturised, or for using on scars. While light and fluffy to apply, it is rich and does leave the skin feeling oily, which not all women will like.
