In a nutshell

This useful potty is multifunctional, doubling as a toilet trainer seat and stool, too. However, it can be a bit tricky to clean all the parts if there's a messy spill.

Pros

  • Multifunctional, removable pot for cleaning, sturdy, useful lid

Cons

  • Many parts can be tricky to clean, hole is quite small, quite large

The Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer provides all you need for potty training times in one useful model.

Manufactured in 2008, the Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer has been developed specifically to provide a number of different potty training aids in one piece of equipment: potty, trainer seat and stool.

The Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer comes with a hygienic lid and pull-out pot making it easy to empty contents directly into the toilet. The anti-splash potty seat is also removable and can be used as a trainer seat on an adult toilet. In addition, when the lid is down, the potty can be used as a sturdy stool to help with hand washing or reaching the toilet – Peter is very adept at moving it round the house to reach things.

With all parts in place, the Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer measures 20.5cm high, 33.4cm wide and 42.2cm deep. The potty costs a reasonable £14.99 and comes in three colour ways – pink, blue and green.

What we love

I found the lid on this model extremely useful during the early days of potty training - when you need the potty in the same room as you, but want to avoid spills when carrying it back to the bathroom.

We have used the stool for hand washing and Peter is now starting to independently use it to get himself onto the loo.

We are also finding the trainer seat helpful when trying out the bigger toilet. Indeed, I’ve taken just that part away with us rather than taking the whole potty (which is quite large) to visit the grandparents.

Overall, £14.99 seems a fair price for the Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer considering the many functions it incorporates. You won’t have to invest in lots of separate bathroom items.

What to watch out for

The hole in the Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer is quite small, making it a bit harder for a large bottomed chap who needs to aim downwards!

The fact that so many functions have been merged into this one potty does inevitably mean that there are quite a few bits and pieces to take apart and clean. We’ve had a number of occasions when Peter has stood up too soon and left quite a lot of mess (solid and liquid!) to clear up, which has involved taking the potty apart and cleaning under surfaces and in fiddly little grooves. I also find that the pot part that you remove to clean can get stuck and therefore you end up spilling mess when you yank it out.

The Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer is quite large, so if you go away a lot you’ll need to just take the trainer seat part or invest in a smaller potty or one designed specifically for travel.

Who is the Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer best for?

Mums who don’t want to invest in lots of different potty training equipment.

MadeForMums verdict

The Lindam 3 in 1 Potty Trainer offers excellent functionality for the different needs and stages of potty training. At times, the potty can be tricky to clean, especially if there’s a messy spill. Nevertheless, it’s sturdy and attractive to look at and our tester toddler seemed keen to use it!
