A great model when it comes to ease of use, features and price, although the sound quality could be better
A basic model, the analogue baby monitor Lindam Baby Talk Plus has a variety of features and is incredibly simple to use.
With 20 years’ experience and many award winning products to its name, Lindam is committed to innovative design and product development. The Baby Talk Plus lives up to Lindam’s high standards and with easy-to-use instructions and only two channels, set up is incredibly easy. Parents and baby units can be mains or battery operated, and a night light and temperature display also feature.
What we love
For such a basic model, this provides excellent monitoring. Set up is also so easy. The temperature display and alert on the baby unit are useful. The baby unit also features a handy cot clip.
The volume can be adjusted on the parent and the sound is reasonably clear. Sound activated lights also provide a visual indicator of the level of sound from your baby.
A tasteful looking monitor, it does the job well but lacks whizzy features. Mums online are saying this is a sturdy monitor that is good value for money although the sound is rather fuzzy.
What to watch out for
The night light only works when the baby unit is plugged in, not when it’s battery powered, and it can’t be switched off. This does let the monitor down.
Both units lack an independent low battery warning light or alarm. However, the green power light appears dim when the batteries need changing.
There’s a belt clip on the parent unit although it’s fairly bulky and not the most portable.
Who is the Lindam Baby Talk Plus best for?
Parents looking for a reasonable level of monitoring, with good, but not flashy, features.
Extremely easy-to-use, this is a good-looking model that offers a range of good features for a reasonable price.
