A very safe and well-priced safety gate, but takes a bit of practice to open when holding a baby

The Lindam Easy Fit Plus safety gate has a unique dual locking system that makes it harder to open, and a clip at the bottom to make it even more secure. This is great for safety, but sometimes the opening system is even a little too fiddly for adults, especially when they've got their hands full!
What we love
The Lindam Easy Fit Plus safety gate is easy to fit, and needs no screws or drilling into the wall. Once in place it feels very secure, so even the hardest push isn't going to knock it out of place.
Its unique locking system means it feels very safe and isn’t easy for even the most curious of children to open, so they're not going to take a tumble down the stairs. And just in case they do get it open, there's an added safety feature with the locks at the bottom – when they’re flipped down the gate won't open anyway. These also mean you can put one side of the lock down and only have the gate swing open one way, which would really suit some houses.
I was more than happy to have the Lindam Easy Fit Plus safety gate at the top of my stairs, knowing my 2-year-old wasn't going to work out how to open it.
And while the gate fits a gap from 76cm to 80cm, you can buy extensions that increase the gap it can fit to a massive 137cm. Very flexible!
What to watch out for
While the safety mechanism is great, it does mean that that the lock is actually fiddly even for adults to open – you have to squeeze the bottom and lift the top at the same time. This is actually fairly difficult if you're holding baby in one arm and have only one hand free. Having said that, I suppose it's the price you pay for peace of mind.

The Lindam Easy Fit Plus safety gate is a great value safety gate that will keep toddler safe, but might frustrate adults trying to get in and out! The fact that it’s so easy to fit, doesn’t need to be screwed into the wall and that extensions are available add to its appeal.
