A disappointing product.
The Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream is a most reasonably priced product that misses the mark.
The Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream’s two main ingredients are shea butter and almond oil. Mothercare believes with regular use it will smooth and moisturise the skin whilst minimising the risk of stretchmarks.
What we love
The fact that Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream is so inexpensive is a plus.
The cream rubs in well and absorbs quickly. I found it quite nice as an all over cream for after the shower, although I’m not sure how effective it really is for stretchmarks or as a moisturiser.
The subtle scent is just what’s needed for pregnant women suffering with morning sickness.
What to watch out for
My skin still feels dry even after application. I want to keep applying more all the time.
The consistency of the cream is really thick and I’m not such a fan of that.
Also the Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream is so cold I have to brace myself before using it, even after rubbing it in my hands to warm it up.
The label states not to rub it into your nipples. Mine are so enormous at this point, how exactly is that possible when rubbing it all over the rest of your boobs?
The scent doesn’t stay with me for very long at all, which I think is a downside, but other mums-to-be may like.
Who is the Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream best for?
Mums-to-be who don’t need much moisturising after a low-cost buy.
The Mothercare it’s your body stretch mark cream absorbs very well. However after using it, skin quickly feels dry again, which is very disappointing.
