Mum of three Amanda Jenner came up with the inspiration for My Carry Potty while potty training her eldest child. Her son would only ever use his own potty and they needed to be able to get out and about without carrying around a bag full of wee! Fast-forward to 2010, and My Carry Potty became an award-winning product, which is now available in stores and online.
What we love
The My Carry Potty is extremely lightweight and very easy to carry, especially for little hands. My 2-year-old daughter, Ella, was thrilled to be able to carry around her potty.
The plastic outer is very durable and can be dropped, kicked and knocked about without worrying. This is a must when expecting a child to care for something.
My Carry Potty is compact enough not to take up too much space in the car or under a buggy. We popped the My Carry Potty into the storage bag on our buggy and still had room for more.
After using My Carry Potty, you can rest assured that no leaking will occur. The vacuum seal is similar to a thermos. Anything left in the base of potty will stay put.
What to watch out for
From a style perspective, the bold primary colours of My Carry Potty are quite bright but it makes it the perfect unisex potty.
The release button on My Carry Potty is a bit stiff and you should open it with care, particularly if there’s already a deposit inside. The vacuum seal is quite strong so opening is a bit tricky.
When opening and emptying, you’ll end up with some residual liquid on the cover, which needs to be cleaned. Emptying can be a bit awkward as you have an attached lid to contend with.
Who is the My Carry Potty best for?
Busy parents after a convenient, compact and secure option for potty training that can travel.
My Carry Potty is a simple but clever idea that allows the potty training process to extend beyond the four walls of home. It’s sturdy, reliable and highly portable although emptying and cleaning My Carry Potty is slightly tricky.
