Breast pads have a simple but important job to do for breastfeeding mums - to prevent any embarrassing milk leaks. And, as Sainsbury's Breast Pads prove, you don't have to splash the cash to get good ones.
Sainsbury's Breast Pads are disposable and suitable for late pregnancy and breastfeeding. The design is simple - they have a stay dry liner, an absorbent pad and a moisture-proof backing layer to make sure no milk leaks on to your bra. Their soft, shaped edges make them ultra-discreet and also very comfortable.
What we love
At £1.71 for 40 pads, Sainsbury's Breast Pads are great value. And it's handy to be able to just throw them in the trolley with your weekly shop. But the great thing about them is they really work. Despite not having anything like sticky backing to hold them in place they do stay put.
I put them to the ultimate test - a Madonna concert, loads of dancing and two missed evening feeds - and they still didn't slip out of place or leak. And they're so comfortable, you can forget you're wearing them. Of course the amount of times you need to change them varies from day to day (and mum to mum), but they're so absorbent they do last for ages.
What to watch out for
These pads are not individually wrapped, so if you want to pop them in your handbag for a day out you'll need a bag for them. But what you lose in convenience, you gain in being kind to the environment. There's not a lot of wasted packaging as you sometimes get in other more expensive brands.
Who are Sainsbury's Breast Pads best for?
