Pros

  • Robust, value

Cons

  • Wetness

Sainsbury’s Little Ones fragrance free wipes offer value for money. These wipes are extremely robust, fragrance free and clean well without irritating sensitive skin.

As you would expect, Sainsbury’s Little Ones fragrance free wipes are good value for money but also have a couple of other little tricks up their sleeves. Sainsbury’s offer exactly the same value for their own brand of wipes as big rival Tesco.

Simple in style, the Sainsbury’s packaging is mainly white although a little pink cartoon pig appears on the pack. Not sure of the relevance of the pig but it adds a little colour none the less. The company boasts the wipes are ‘for sensitive skin, paraben free and paediatrician approved.’

What we love

The wipes themselves are simple, plain and nothing fancy, but do exactly what it says on the tin. The most impressive feature of these wipes is their sheer robustness. Nothing will rip one of these. Zac, 11 months, and I had a tug-of-war with one and we couldn’t rip it.

I found the wipes to be nice and moist and good at clearing dirty bottoms efficiently without causing any redness to Zac’s sensitive skin. I also grabbed one when I had to clean my hands of some sticky jam and was quite impressed that just one did the job suitably.

They stay nice and moist in the packet for a fair while and have my favourite wipes feature: a snap shut lid.

What to watch out for

As they’re fragrance free, Sainsbury’s Little Ones fragrance free wipes are somewhat bland but that’s a real personal point of view. I do like a nice fresh smelling wipe, but I do appreciate the benefits of fragrance free.

While the wipes have a snap shut lid, I was more disappointed with this lid than others I’ve tried as it is a bit fiddly to get shut, which isn’t great for when you’re out and about and in a bit of a hurry.
