Silver Cross Surf review

The much-anticipated Silver Cross Surf took two years to develop, and when it hit the streets parents went wild. The ultra lightweight chassis, slick lines and magnesium alloys have propelled Silver Cross into the world of the designer buggy.

Our Surf buggy review explains how the Surf handles with baby on board, and looks at the pros and cons of this 'from birth' buggy, whose fans include WAG Alex Gerrard (Alex was recently spotted taking her daughter Lourdes out for a stroll in none other than Surf). Our Surf travel system review looks at how the buggy performs when teamed with the Silver Cross Ventura Plus Group 0+ car seat.

This chic buggy's also made our 2011 guide to 10 of the best forward and rear facing buggies.

Hot of the press is news that the special edition Surf Petals is now available and that the Surf's all terrain sister, the Surf Elevation, is set to launch soon. Watch this space...

At 5.3kg the Fizz is featherlight

Silver Cross Fizz, Zest, Pop and Dazzle reviews

"An attractive, lightweight pushchair. It's easy to manoeuvre, fold and store away, but always be careful not to overload it with too much shopping", says our reviewer. The Fizz is a popular choice and features in our 2011 round-up of 10 of the best buggies under £150 and, thanks to its featherlight 5.3kg chassis, it also made our 10 of the best lightweight buggies under 6kg for 2011.

For more about the Fizz including the plus points and the minus points read our full Fizz review.

Of course, the Fizz isn't Silver Cross' only lightweight buggy. The range includes three others, all of which we've put to the test. See how the newcomer Silver Cross Zest, as well as the well-known Silver Cross Pop and Silver Cross Dazzle, scored in our reviews.

The Pop has made our 2011 round-ups of 10 of the best buggies, as rated by you. The Dazzle features in our 2011 guides to 10 of the most compact folding buggies and 10 of the best buggies under £250.

Silver Cross goes pop

Silver Cross entered the world of pop when eight Silver Cross Balmoral prams were featured in singer Lily Allen's 2010 Brit Awards performace. After the award ceremony where Lily won Best Female the prams were auctioned on eBay with the proceeds going to War Child charity. The classic four-wheelers, which are known as ‘Bentleys for Babies’, retail for over £1,000 with celebrity fans including the Royal Family, Charlotte Church and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Pop Duo made four of our guides to the best buggies

Silver Cross Pop Duo review

The Pop Duo is such a hit with MFM and parents that it made no less than four of our 2011 best buggy round-ups - 10 of the best twin buggies, 10 of the best double buggies for less than £250, 10 of the best easy-to-fold double buggies and 10 of the best lightweight double buggies. The side-by-side double is lightweight, has an umbrella fold, and is ideal for twins or children of different ages. There are lots of pros, like the thick padded seats and the chunky wheels, that can tackle most surfaces. Our Pop Duo buggy review looks at the cons too.

Is this Doodle a highchair, or a table, or both?

Silver Cross highchair reviews

The Silver Cross Doodle is a nifty highchair that turns into a toddler's table and mini chair in seconds. Our reviewer says that this highchair's "originality, modern good looks and practicality are a winning combination" And what's more its dual-purpose design is a binus for eco-conscious mums who prefer their baby kit to last. Read more about this multi-tasker in our full Silver Cross Doodle review.

The other highchair in Silver Cross' range is a little more classic - the Silver Cross Sovereign Highchair is a large and comfy feeding chair, which is described as "luxurious and practical" by our seasoned tester.

Silver Cross pushchair and travel system reviews

Silver Cross is a popular buggy brand, and we've found out why our mums love these buggies so much. We've also reviewed the full collection...

Our Silver Cross Halo pushchair review has all the pros and cons of this futuristic, forward-facing and compact-folding buggy. If you're a fan of this style, you may also be taken with the Silver Cross Halo Rocker.

Our Silver Cross 3D Pram System and 3D Pram System travel system reviews reveal how this popular option performs. We've also had mums share why they love their 3D Pram Systems so much.

Other Silver Cross buggy and travel system offerings might sound confusingly similar, but it's all to do with your choice of chassis (buggy frame) and what you pair it with. The "Classic" is a traditional looking X-shaped chassis while the "Linear" is a contemporary, urban frame. Either can be teamed with the "Sleepover" set-up. The "Linear" chassis can also be teamed with "Freeway" body. We've reviewed the various combos:

Mums have also explained why they adore their Linear Freeways.
