With four configurations, the Sleepi cotbed will last your baby from infancy through to childhood. A timeless design, the cot is available in five colour options ensuring there is one to suit all tastes and nursery designs. The Sleepi starts life as a Mini bassinet providing a secure and comforting sleeping environment for newborns. The ergonomic oval design not only looks great but is specially designed to mimic the shape of the womb to provide the ultimate sleep haven.
What we love
This beats every cotbed on the number of configurations available and works brilliantly in every one of them. It doesn’t compromise on style or quality and offers five different colour options.
Mums online also rave about the lockable castor wheels and say this cot is worth every penny.
The cotbed coordinates with the Stokke changing table, which is designed to complement it perfectly, and with cot bars on all sides, you will also be able to keep a reassuring eye on your baby from every angle.
A high quality coating gives the cot bars a smooth and resistant surface that reduces scratches and makes the cot easier to clean and maintain.
When your baby outgrows the bassinette, it very simply adjusts to form a cot and mattresses are included for both configurations at no extra expense. Both mattresses are also fully washable and hypo-allergenic.
The Sleepi offers four mattress height positions to choose from as you baby grows. Mums can also purchase a Junior Kit with a mattress included so once outgrown by about three years old, the cot simply expands into a full-sized child’s bed. Transformation is a cinch and the Sleepi looks equally sleek and stylish in all its configurations. But the Sleepi’s life doesn’t end there. The cot can also transform into a pair of bedroom chairs!
With such a long life span, it is ideal for the environmentally conscious parents and Stokke are very proud of their environmental ethic. The Sleepi complies with international safety standards and really is built to last.
What to watch out for
The sides are fixed so can mean a bit of back-bending to get your baby in and out. It also lacks teething protectors which means it may not look quite as good once your baby has started teething. There is no option for assembly on delivery so prepare to get stuck in once it arrives. Oh, and you’ll need to splash an extra £167.36 for the Sleepi’s Junior Kit.
Who is the Stokke Sleepi best for?
Perfect for mums who want the coziness of a Moses basket but without having to buy several cots over a few years. The wheels mean you can easily move the cot from your room to the nursery as your baby gets older.
As an all-rounder, the Sleepi can’t be beaten. Quality, style, longevity and ease-of use, Stokke have scored highly on every front. Add a drop-side and we’d give it top marks.
