A lovely comfortable play gym and good value for money, this is basic, but can travel and gives busy mums the chance to get things done while baby is occupied and safe.
Tesco My Baby’s Playmat and Gym is simple, but soft, fun and good value.
You know going to Tesco you get value for money. With the My Baby’s Playmat and Gym you get a basic play gym with no flashing lights or great jungle scenes, but you do get a lovely soft play centre which helps your baby discover sound, texture, movement and co-ordination.
What we love
I loved the fact that this play gym was easy to put together and fold away again at the end of the day. It’s really portable, so it’s great for travelling.
It’s very comfortable to lay a young baby on and the toys are very soft for them to touch. The toys are high up for a baby to reach but because they’re detachable, I could link them together to make them lower for Isabella, 4 months, to grab hold of them.
The mat has an edge to it, which stopped Isabelle rolling off, and gave me - a busy mum of two - peace of mind knowing my baby is safe, whilst I got on with some household chores.
What to watch out for
The downside of the Tesco My Baby’s Playmat and Gym is that if your baby is sick you can’t machine wash it, which is difficult if you have got a baby with reflux.
The play gym is basic, the toys are not inventive so it’s not ideal for an older baby who would need more stimulating options.
Who is the Tesco My Baby’s Playmat and Gym best for?
Newborn and young babies in need of a soft, safe play space.
The Tesco My Baby’s Playmat and Gym has a plush and comfortable mat that will gives a soft place to lay your baby even if you have wooden floors. The mat’s edge could help lessen the chance of your baby rolling off. However, this gym can’t be machine washed, so it’s not ideal for babies with reflux.
