Tots Bots is still a family-run business. The Tots Bots original reusable nappies come in organic cotton and bamboo (called Bamboozles), and fasten with Aplix (Velcro). They’re ‘two-part’ nappies, which means that you have to buy a separate waterproof cover (wrap) to put on over the top. The cotton nappies are made from organic cotton, which is probably the most eco-friendly fabric around, while bamboo has natural antibacterial properties and is incredibly soft and absorbent.

Tots Bots are a UK, family-owned business, so by buying their nappies you’re supporting the economy. The simplicity of these nappies is their main selling point, as they’re easy to use and easy to wash. They’re also very absorbent and durable, and a decent price.

There’s also a lovely selection of brightly coloured wraps to go with the nappies.

What to watch out for

The cotton variety can go a bit ‘crispy’ if you’re line-drying your nappies, particularly in hard-water areas, although the Bamboozles version are much softer and silkier. The Bamboozles can take a long time to dry.

If you’re looking for a basic, reliable nappy then the Tots Bots originals are not only great value, but also guaranteed to be well-made, durable and comfortable for your baby. They’re not the fastest drying nappy around, so you’ll need to make sure that you buy plenty, but the packs are good value and include a waterproof wrap.
