In a nutshell

This rocker is funky and unique with seven recline positions but it doesn't seem to offer enough to warrant the hefty price tag.

Pros

  • Funky, robust, unique

Cons

  • Expensive for item with limited functions and short lifespan, difficult to assemble, tricky to fasten safety harness, no activity bar/music/vibrating mode

The good news is the Pebble Cradle is unique, funky and - as Zoobie claim - innovative in its design. The bad news is it’s difficult to justify its price tag. It looks good, extraordinary in fact, but at £115 I expected so much more than an attractive seat.

Zoobie is a ‘new and exciting’ nursery brand, boasting contemporary-styled products made from high quality materials. The Zoobie Pebble Cradle has a 7-position backrest, is available in four colours and includes a head hugger and a retractable stand for use when stationary. The fabric seat is machine washable and the base is light and durable. The 3-point harness ensures your baby is secure in the seat. It doesn’t require batteries, the seat rocks when your baby moves due to the curved angle of the base.

What we love

If you’re looking for something unique for your baby and money isn’t an issue the Zoobie Pebble Cradle may be for you. It certainly looks impressive; it is eye-catching, incredibly stylish, comfortable and robust. It’s easy to keep clean and hardwearing.

What to watch out for

For many budgets, it simply won’t be worth the money. I feel Zoobie have prioritised aesthetics over purpose. Its sole feature, the 7-position backrest, works, but for £115 I was looking for more, much more. When you consider the multitude of functions alternative rockers on the market are offering, it is the lack of features that highlight its limited appeal.

The 3-point safety harness is tricky to fasten. The clip is contained within the material of the harness, and as a result you have to secure it without being able to see it. I found it infuriating. Also, it is designed for babies up to 6 months old, yet at 4 months old Cameron is already too big for the harness.

Who is the Zoobie Pebble Cradle best for?

Parents with a big budget looking for a distinct unique seat.

MadeForMums verdict

You can’t dispute that the Zoobie Pebble Cradle is contemporary and imaginative in its design. However, for the high price tag it’s easy to expect more than the Pebble has to offer. If you’re looking for something stylish then there are lower-cost options still available that also have more features.
