We've created an easy-to-follow step by step guide to show you how to make the Box Spiders: you can either watch our how-to video (above) or follow our photo steps (below).

Huge thanks to tip-top crafter Sinéad from our Top Testers Club who, along with her daughter Áine, created our Halloween Box Spiders how-to video. Sinéad took the photos for our step-by-step instructions too.

Here's how to make Halloween Box Spiders, step by step

What you'll need:

Halloween Box Spider supplies

Step 1

Boxes wrapped in purple tissue paper

Wrap your box in tissue paper and use the clear tape to fasten.

Step 2

Boxes wrapped in purple paper decorated with

Use the glue to add the googly eyes. Then draw the outline of a scary mouth and a pair of thick eyebrows on the piece of paper, colour them in with the felt-tip pens, and cut them out with the scissors. Glue the mouth and eyebrows onto the box.

Step 4

Halloween Box Spiders finished with pipe cleaners sticking out of either side

With the scissors, punch 4 holes on each side of the box. Then thread a pipe cleaner through the top hole on one side and out of the top hole on the other side, so it is sticking out from either side like spider legs. Repeat with the other 3 pipe cleaners, using a lower set of holes each time.

And you're done!
