Travelling while pregnant or with a family? Here's what Cathay Pacific will do to make your journey easier. From luggage allowances through to meal planning we've got all the information you need.

Check-in baggage
- Adults/children: no restrictions on number of pieces. Maximum combined weight must not exceed 40kg (First Class), 30kg (Business Class), 25kg (Premium Economy), 20kg (Economy)
- Infants (under 2 years of age and not occupying a seat): no restrictions on number of pieces. Maximum combined weight 10kg across all classes
Central, North and South Americas
- Adults/children: up to two pieces only. Maximum weight per bag is 32kg (First and Business Class), 25kg (Premium Economy), 23kg (Economy). Note: total dimensions of each bag musn't exceed 158cm
Note: there are no extra charges for a buggy or cot but it will be checked in as luggage and returned on arrival
Seating
- Families travelling together will always be booked together but it's advised you book seats in advance to get desired seats
- Bassinets can be requested when booking for all flights. They can hold up to 12kg (30" x 15" x 8") but may be uncomfortable for babies over 6 months
Feeding
- There are no objections to breastfeeding onboard
- Formula can be heated up onboard - you're asked to get assistance from a crew member
Meals
- Children's meals must be ordered in advance when booking - there is no additional fee

Pregnant travel
- You will need a doctor's note to travel after 28 weeks. Cathay Pacific will accept passengers with single pregnancies up to 36 weeks (i.e. up to 35 weeks + 6 days) and multiple pregnancies up to 32 weeks (i.e. up to 31 weeks + 6 days).
