2. Time to test your Harry Potter knowledge - with a live quiz today!

Harry Potter fans can put their wizarding knowledge to the test by tuning into a fiendish live online quiz this evening at 7pm. Several thousand Potter fans have been taking part for the past couple of Sundays - can you beat them?

The quiz is being hosted by the Wizarding Boutique who sell Harry Potter memorabilia from their shop in Wales.

All you need is a pen and paper and make sure you visit the Wizarding Boutique Facebook page at 7pm to get started. If the whole family are super Potter fans why not get everyone involved and see who can get the most questions right!

Make a Harry Potter wand out of paper (and no glue gun required)

Every witch and wizard needs their own wand and this really simple Paperfunpro YouTube tutorial is a brilliant way of making one.

All you need is some paper, glue and and some paint to make the twisted wand design.

How to make origami fish

Origami can be a fun yet relaxing craft and this excellent YouTube tutorial from Red Ted Art enables you to make simple yet satisfying origami fish. If you're feeling adventurous, you could even use them to make a little stop-motion video...

2. Brilliant kids cook-along today - whip up cheese scones!

Join Nicole from The Kids’ Kitchen, every Wednesday and Saturday in her own kitchen, while she walks you through brilliant yet simple, family-friendly recipes, which you and your children can make during this Facebook live event all together.

Nicole's aim is to get kids involved and show them how much fun cooking can be. If you sign up to her free website, you’ll receive the twice-weekly recipes straight to your inbox, ready to bake along live.

Today, Nicole is whipping up a batch of cheese scones – here’s what you’ll need.

250g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
50g butter, cut into cubes
100g mature cheddar cheese, grated, plus more to sprinkle on top

1 tbsp Marmite or mustard (optional)

1. Join in a live Teddy Bears Picnic Party!

If you go down to the virtual woods today, you’re in for a Teddy Bear Surprise! Come and join in a free live Teddy Bears Picnic Party organised by events company Jollypop Entertainment Ltd. It’s happening on Facebook live at 4pm today and all you need to bring is a teddy bear (or two).

WALK LIKE A BEAR

Your child has to walk like each member of the Bear Family each time you call out the following names of family bears:

• Papa Bear – take BIG steps
• Mama Bear – take medium steps
• Baby Bear – take tiny steps
• Brother Bear – jump around
• Sister Bear – hop on one foot
• Polar Bear – walk on all fours
• Sleepy Bear – curls up on the floor and snores

Have lots of fun getting your child to walk like the different bears, swapping around. Great for developing memory and motor skills!

Your child can have fun doing the actions while you say the rhyme. For babies and toddlers, you can use the rhyme as a toe counting song (like 5 little piggies)

INTERACTIVE TEDDY BEAR DRESSING GAME

Play a fun interactive Teddy Dressing game on the British Council website, where you can choose a bear to dress and then add lots of fun clothes.

3. Create sensory colour bags for your baby and toddler!

Mum Codi has shared this brilliant sensory play idea on her Instagram page, which many parents have found completely enthralls their babies and toddlers.

It's super simple to put together...

All you need is:

• Zip lock bags
• Water
• Food dye to create your different colours
• Optional extras: glitter or oil

Method:

• Add water to the zip lock bag - not too much as you want your child to be able to push the water around.
• Add the food dye and any other extras to make patterns within the bags.
• Get as much air out the bags as possible before tightly sealing them shut.
• Tape the bags to the kitchen floor or any outdoor space
• As you can see in the video shared by Codi on Instagram, little ones will love having a feel of the brightly coloured shapes surrounding them.

Easy sensory cards to make for toddlers

If you have any spare cardboard and craft supplies such as pom poms or feathers, pair them together to make your own sensory cards for your baby to play with.

Check out this YouTube video from Jady A for some inspiration on what to stick on your cards. We'd say go for large textured objects that your baby and toddler can feel. Always make sure they're securely stuck on and you're supervising your child while they are playing with them.

Activities for Day 25

1. Watch a free special Lockdown performance of the pantomime Rapunzel!

This week, at 1.30pm everyday, you can tune in to see Rapunzel The Lockdown Pantomime on Facebook and Instagram. The live streamed show has been put together by cast members of the St Helens Theatre Royal.

The show must go on, so each cast member has filmed their separate part in their homes, and the performances have been pieced together to tell the story of a Rapunzel with a lockdown-themed twist.

In true pantomime style it's filled with brilliant costumes, funny dances and audience interaction, so it's definitely one for the whole family to enjoy together.

Each episode is only around 10 minutes long so your family shouldn't need too long to catch up on the story so far. You can find them earlier episodes on the St Helens Theatre Royal's Facebook page:

Colour in Disney's Tangled characters

Colour in the characters from Disney's Tangled - which is loosely based on the fairytale Rapunzel.

Your kids can complete Flynn Rider's 'Wanted' poster, draw their own design of Rapunzel's hair and colour in a picture of the princess and her pet chameleon Pascal with this free downloadable activity pack from Disney Family.

2. Make selfie artwork inspired by Andy Warhol

If you're looking for a way to engage your children in art, try this pop culture approach to selfies. The Tate Museum has put together a brilliant Pop Art activity inspired by world famous artist Andy Warhol.

One of Warhol's most iconic pieces is the multi-printing of a photo - the screenprint of Marilyn Monroe is one of the most well-known, along with his series of self portraits - an original Selfie. The instructions are super simple to follow and all you need is a smartphone or digital camera, printer, paper and colouring tools such as pens, pencils or paint.

Other activities bring your child into the world of some of Warhol's famous paintings such as the Campbell's soup can.

Make marbled paper with foam

Tate Kids has lots of other brilliant resources for kids, including this inspired step-by-step guide on how to make marbled paper using shaving foam.

It's a great one if your kids love messy play and once they've got their marbled paper they can use it to make hanging decorations or bunting.

Make this fantastic cardboard castle with a moving drawbridge!

Want to make this amazing castle with a drawbridge that lowers and raises? It's incredibly simple - you just need a cardboard box, some toilet roll tubes, some coloured paper, pens and scissors - and to follow this step-by-step video tutorial by parenting site Kidspot.

While children may need help with cutting out the more tricky shapes such as the windows and door, there's plenty of opportunity to decorate it - and expect endless drawbridge raising.

Activities for Day 24

1. Join Steve Backshall live this morning for a wildlife Q&A session - and ask him anything!

Wildlife presenter Steve Backshall, best known for hosting CBBC's Deadly 60, is holding virtual wildlife lessons everyday Wednesday at 9.30am live on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

"There are no silly questions but give it a go," encourages nature expert and dad Steve.

All the lessons are saved to Steve's YouTube channel, but we'd suggest tuning in at 9.30 this morning as Steve will be answering wildlife questions - which you can post during the live streaming. So if your kids want to know which animal has the most poisonous sting or what the fastest bird is, now is the chance to have this incredible expert answer their question!

You'll also get the chance to see Steve showing off some of the amazing animals and insects in and around his home by the River Thames, such as the camouflaging orchid mantis (pictured above) or, if you're feeling adventurous, a charanchula.

How to make a simple bird feeder from stuff in your house

If your kids want to learn more about your local wildlife, Wildlife Watch has loads of brilliant activities you can do at home.

You can find out how to make a simple bird feeder to hang in your back garden using a basic container (a yogurt pot will do), some cooking fat, some string and some basic dry food for the birds - such as breadcrumbs or dried food. It's a crafty activity that keeps on going - once you've hung it, your children can keep watching to spot the different types of birds that come and feed from it.

If you don't have a garden, there are easy instructions on how to make wildlife binoculars or a musical instrument from seeds and stones.

3. Is your child more Peppa or George?

Fancy a Peppa Pig filled day? Or need some Peppa-flavoured fun? We've found a wealth of interactive and printable Peppa Pig activities, which are all free.

First up, there are interactive games to play on the Nick Jr website, combining clips from the show and questinos for your child to answer - giving you fun results. Choose from:
