Sleepy Time podcast episode 6: Building your mind garden for 5 to 8 year olds
Mindfulness expert Suzy Reading uses images from nature to help your child relax and melt into sleep after a busy day. Narration by Gemma David of The Quiet Heart
This podcast will help your little one to have a relaxed and peaceful mind as they lie in bed, ready to fall asleep.
They'll be encouraged think positive thoughts – such as thinking about friends and loved ones – and nature will play a key part in helping them to wind down ready for rest.
The narrator will ask your child to imagine a beautiful garden, with the sun's rays falling on it, and flowers and plants growing. She'll acknowledge they might have sad or angry thoughts but will bring them back to a 'happy place' that will assist them in drifting off to sleep.
